All about Raymond Manzor

Raymond Manzor is Irish. After moving to France to work as an English teacher, he trained in translation at the University of Strasbourg and became a freelance translator in 2012.

He’s been a part of the Contentactic team since January 2025.

As a translator, he specialised in medical translation, especially in translating about clinical research. In 2015, he additionally trained as a copy editor to meet his client’s growing needs for English-language editing of original research articles.

In 2020, Covid lockdown forced Raymond to switch his networking online. He published his very first LinkedIn post. This experience was a revelation for Raymond, as he discovered a passion for writing content from scratch. He immediately trained in copywriting and then multilingual SEO (taking one of Contentactic’s SEO translation courses).

Nowadays, Raymond is a project manager for Contentactic, where he handles content, copy, transcreation SEO analysis and SEO translation projects in English. He also freelances as a copywriter for organisations and brands that believe in a safer, more prosperous future for all. When he’s not writing or translating, you’ll find Raymond renovating a barn and rehabilitating land in Dordogne, France, with his wife, son, two cats, three ducks and four geese.

In his own words

When I was a teenager and a young adult, I got so excited listening to great speeches. I loved the way great speakers communicated complex and divisive messages in a simple, honest, direct way. The imagery and emotion of those speeches used to give me goosebumps. Nowadays, whenever I work on a piece of writing, I try to make it surprising, direct and honest so that the people who read it get the same goosebumps I used to get as a boy.
